Meanwhile apparently my niece is coming in to visit on Saturday and she now has Pokemon cards I really got ha hooked on the franchise, i see. She wants to bring them in and show me, but she asked if I still have any, and I'm thinking she wants to play them with me, but idk how many she has and if she got random cards or an actual deck.

So I went and bought 4 theme decks rn which should come by Friday. The Volcanion, Hoopa, Lugia and Zygarde ones. Got all 4 for like £44.

the cards? yeah. But I'll keep them here rather than giving them to her to take back home. Things go missing quite often for her at home, so I'd rather keep them here, safe for her. It actually really excited me just to know what new moves (regular ones, not necessarily Z ones) + abilities old Pokemon will be able to get in Gen 7. Ready to shake up the meta

Main series? Gen 8. If it's a portable / console handheld as expected. I don't see them doing one G7 game on 3ds and one on NX. That doesn't make sense.

Side series? Stadium hopefully.

But Stadium isn't a GameFreak thing, is it? I'm honestly hoping for a really good Red/Blue remake that can stand alone until G8 is ready to be released. Because I'm also hoping that the game will be available near the release of the NX.

God, I loved Gen IV. It introduced the best Pokemon ever, Weavile. The competitive battle scene was so fresh and innovative (until Platinum came out with Bullet Punch Scizor) at the time because the physical and special split SHOOK the entire core of it. The update in graphics. It gave us the iconic and best game in the franchise, HG/SS. Everything about this gen (besides the cluster **** speed for D/P) was perfect and wonderful.

I am only here for a hen 1 remake if its going to be a BW2 case where we visit the era some years later.... otherwise they can keep it

Yes I've always said this. They should update everything and it could be a slay. But it will never happen because of the nostalgia factor.
