Not to mention, 1500 audio streams are needed to count as an album unit, and streams for a song don't even count anymore beyond a certain number of streams during the tracking week. A buyer won't even play the songs from the album for 1000 times.

It's very obvious that Rihanna is more musically popular than Beyonce. Simply, she's doing better on both Billboard Hot100 and Billboard 200. Stop fighting.

I wouldnt go that far. But the album thats more widely available will obvs do better. Its like if someone released an album in 2012 and decided they didnt want to sell on itunes. It would hurt your sales because youre making it less available

Coachella has already kind of replaced the VMAs as of a few years ago anyway as the go-to event for zeitgeisty things in the music world. Celine Dion had back to back Diamond albums, but she was never a HUGE celebrity. Very famous and well known, but not someone who the public was FASCINATED by.

Yeah Taylor sells a lot, but she is boring and a bad performer so no one will tune in for her as opposed to someone like Gaga. Taylor does bring in ratings for Country award shows though since she is one of the few who appeals to multiple demos
