What has she done outside of horrible original Disney channel films and that horrible tv series? When Kirsten Dunst was cast she had done The Virgin Suicides, Jumanji and Interview with the Vampire. The level of prestige talent in this series has taken a total nosedive And no, it has nothing to do with her being black, and all to do with her being little more than an industry socialite who has never proven herself as an actress. This could be a career-making role for any number of girls out there. Hollywood will stay losing (most of their blockbusters have bombed this year) if they keep banking on talentless people.

Chill. This is a teenage/humorous version of Spiderman, of course all the actors are completely unknown.
And this is Disney/Marvel we're talking about, it will most likely be critically acclaimed and a box office success.

Suicide Squad had an A-list cast and it got trashed by critics.

Girl, PLEASE! It's only a problem if the character's skin colour is of relevance to the plot. Mary Jane Watson can be Chinese and her role in the story will stay the same.
