To be honest, it annoys me when they remake something and the actors don't have similar physical traits as the original ones. This isn't limited to skin color though, I'd feel the same if they cast a white girl with blonde hair and she wasn't going to dye her hair red/wear a red wig.
Zendaya is beautiful, has a great screen presence and her acting is not that bad and I'm sure she can get better.
