It's scary to think that there are people like that with absolutely no morals or values, who can switch from one side to the other for purely political purposes.
I am gay, and conservative bigotry in that regard has indeed been a hard pill to swallow. But the future looks bright (to those who want it) and a more accepting Republican base is inevitable. At this turning point in history I think we need a better balance of Republican and progressive ideology and from what I've seen and witnessed, the Democrats are not providing that. I'm not going to get into why "progressive" ideology is not what its espoused to be as that would take too long and could readily be accessed by yourself anywhere online if you cared.

1) The definition and expectations of a liberal have changed significantly over the years and even so he's held very Republican view points over the years.
2) He's clearly not a fascist and this is where I won't entertain you further.
