First of all, LEMONADE is being constantly attacked here.
And just to remind you gifts are offered freely. Same for streaming on Spotify which is free.
I would rather see my fave being front-loaded but selling 20K of an album at $18 after three months rather than selling 7K of an album with 4 hit singles at the moment, which is still respectable until you see its proportion with respect to streaming.

What exactly makes a year being a fanbase's year?
The money their fave makes, the numbers, the 1's? YIKES, it must be harsh living through your faves accomplishments. The only way this would've not been our year was if she still wouldn't have released ANTI until now. But she did and it was great, and we got like 8 more songs cause we deserve it.

It's not the same thing tho. It's one thing being proud of your fave's achievements and it's another to say that we as a fanbase we lost because Rihanna didn't go platinum in pure sales.

1- I perfectly know the difference between profit and income.
2- We are not talking about the era(which includes the tour) is about which album is more profitable. And even if we count that some of the money went for the tour, is still way above Lemonade lmfaooo. The production costs of Lemonade are insane, just look at the quality of the movie. That alone obligates Bey to sell 5-10 times more than Rihanna to make the same levels of money.
3- Again Formation gross is irrelevant to the conversation, this is about the album, not the era as a whole.
