Good news about Evan Bayh. He's extremely loved here, even by Republicans. My parents are going to vote for him as they already said they probably would and they haven't looked into Todd Young yet. The only problem I see is that American politics has gotten even more polarized since 2012, let alone 2004. I'm not sure if a Democrat can win a Senate seat here anymore. 2012 happened solely because the Republican decided he wanted to tell everyone that God wants rape to happen, and it was still much closer than it should have been

Also I don't think Pence is going to be Trump's VP. Pence is announcing him at his rally tomorrow and he apparently hasn't been asked to be VP yet. Granted, they could be doing that tomorrow, but I think it's going to be Flynn or Gingrich. I think his VP will be announced on Friday.

The Democrats need as many seats in the Senate they can get. They saw an opportunity in Indiana so they're gonna take it.

My parents despise Hillary though. Bayh as her running mate might possibly get them to at least not vote, though I doubt it. I doubt their love for Bayh overshadows their hate for Hillary.

Possibly. Todd Young may try to capitalize on that, but he's an establishment Republican so he doesn't really have much room to talk here.

Marion County/Indianapolis as well as the Chicago suburbs, Gary, and Ft. Wayne will be landslides for Bayh. I think Bayh has the donut () counties around Marion County on lock as well, as the suburbs are mostly fiscal conservatives rather than religious conservatives. Suburbs should generally lean Bayh now.

It's the rural counties I'm concerned about, they'll be the more religious ones. The good thing is that Trump won overwhelmingly over Cruz here, so they may care more about fiscal conservatism. Hopefully it doesn't come down to the rural counties though.

Mike Pence is also being vetted, and retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are still in the mix, the source added.

Definitely won't happen. It would waste an opportunity to dominate two different news cycles, as opposed to just one, and Hillary won't announce her VP until after Trump does.

She has been taking Bernie's suggestions pretty well and he said he would be "pleased" with Warren being the VP. Hopefully she listens.
