There are some things about me which I have not told a single therapist in my whole life yet, very deep and disturbing things nor will I until I have a therapist I know very well and feel comfortable with/talking to and feel that it is the right time.

most people need to be pressured. that sounds mean, but a lot of the time with "i'll talk about it when i'm ready", "ready" never comes
that doesn't mean try to talk about something deep the first session, but eventually the therapist often has to be the one to give the first push
