France. French people are the definition of rude
I was gonna say the northern european countries, but I think they are just cold when it comes to interact with others, not rude.
Lol, this is so not true about approaching them by speaking French. It's like walking on a minefield.
A friend of mine had a group of friends with her visiting Paris. She just finished her uni (oh, she became a French teacher by the way) and she made the mistake to approach somebody and to ask where to find a location.
Of course she wanted to show off a little how well she can speak French to her friends, but the French lady she approached literally laughed in her face asking: "Oh, vous etes belge?", which is like the rudest thing to say
"you're belge?" is a somewhat vulgar french joke? today I learned…
I've been to France and it was incredible. If you speak french and are American, you will be good. They hate the Brits. If you have manners and aren't rude, you will thrive.
I guess I need to travel more to see which countries I have the most fights in
Edit: WAIT! I heard that Italy and some Middle East countries are racist as **** from some friends who went, so maybe those.
You know when you go to a website and you sign up for something, all the countries are listed in alphabetical order, but the US has to be the very first one? Just little things like that make my fave cringe like I ate a lemon.
Russia by FAR and anyone who disagrees hasn't traveled globally. Anywhere you travel in the world, Russians are always the rudest without exception and Russian cities always top the "rudest" lists. On a flight recently, there was a Russian couple who bought their seats last minute and were therefore seated apart from each other. They demanded that my boyfriend and I take their middle row seats so they could sit together (for a 6 hour flight). When we declined, they started cursing and yelling at us until they were forced to leave by flight attendants. I've witnesses similar situations MULTIPLE times involving Russian travelers.
Got told to "go **** yourself stupid Brit" for asking for directions to the nearest bakery.
