I wasn't alive when madonna was starting out but i see a lot of comparisons between the 2 on this website. Was madonna seen in the same light as how people view katy perry today? This question is obviously for the older members who were alive then.
No offence but I believe Madonna despite not serving vocals, was phenomenally creative, innovative and grounbreaking. It's not only about success, it's about being artistically genius and Madonna led the way. Sorry but Katy has none of the above characteristics. She changed nothing, her impact was zero and doesn't serve vocals. So imo the comparisons are pointless.
Well, i don't think Katy will have her Like a prayer, Erotica, Ray of light or American Life, so probably no. She plays safe, but there's nothing wrong with that.
