I basically used the same format as Wild Roses Grow, the song it's paying homage too.
All the verses seem like a love song, except the last two, which is the murder.
The chorus is a little hint, "I see people walk above me" as to being buried, but can still seem ambiguous.
Like in Roses, the chorus is "They call me the wild rose, but my name was Elisa Day, why they call me that I do not know, for my name was Elisa Day". It seems innocent enough, until the last verse when you realize she was murdered where the roses grow.
