There is nothing complex about the starters and in fact there is nothing complex about any gen's starters (first stage)..Really any first stage starters are a set of simple cute little animals.. now when they evolve thats another thing!

I believe so as well, but I'm wondering about the typing. I'd say Marshadow is probably legit since it was filed in the same way, so I'm kinda thinking that if Lunaala would be Dark/Ice or Ghost/Ice - I think it'd be Dark rather than Ghost, coz I feel like MarSHADOW (ala, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball) would be Ghost. But I'm wondering about the other type...

My thing with Mars would be... is it fire type? and would they do that with a Sun Lion who is probably also fire type? Whereas Marsh could hint at either Water or the first Poison legendary. A stronger Gengar perhaps. Poison / Ghost.

Solgaleo - Fire / Psychic
Lunaala - Dark / Ice
Marshadow - Poison / Ghost

But then both Solgaleo (Psychic > Poison) and Lunaala (Dark > Ghost) would have an advantage

The Fire Gym could be in a town where parts of it is destroyed by an active lava flow like Pahoa



I hope that the Gym Leaders will play some role in the story (just like in Unova) and not just act as a pit stop for trainers.

Also, it would be amazing if there is something like this. Maybe one of the sea route/cave river route could look like this and a habitat for a water/fire Pokemon.

The Kalos starter evolutions were revealed in September '13. The game came out in October. The starters were revealed back in the original January trailer.


For fifth gen, they leaked two months after (in Servine and Dewott's case). Unsure if this was a leak, or corocoro or something. It says leak for them all basically so some leaks might be Corocoro. Kinda wish they were more specific. But here's the chart:

We should all take a closer look at the Alola map so far and see if we can picture where the routes are and what all we might explore.

I'm imagining it coz I do. The best box legendary since Kyogre; and I loved Xerneas and Yveltal.

Actually looking back. My exact words on the Yveltal and Xerneas reveal was:

k, ew at whatever that ugly thing on the left is. the one on the right is amazing.

I think Yveltal slayed me after the games happened or something coz I clearly didn't like it when it was revealed.
