Queen of song-writing. I'm glad she's winning song-writing awards with 15+ people while actual song-writers like Marina get ignored for their actual sole writing, production and talent. Poor everyone.
Didn't Rihanna get dragged by many of you for sampling a song on ANTi though? Now y'all are defending Bey (and the writing credits) because she sampled a lot of songs. The two-faced people in here
In all honesty, Bey has too many instances where she barely changed a song but put her name on the credits, so I'm always a little weary of her writing involvement. She's clearly involved with it and has ideas, puts her spin on things, etc, but I doubt she often is a main writer on a song.
That said, she's clearly an amazing artist overall and does things so many others don't, so it's not a big deal, I just wish she would be more honest about it.
this. she obviously has vision and is really hands on and meticulous with the final product, which is way more than most of the girls. but a true writer/producer she is not (in my opinion).
The order means nothing, literally who put this idea in yalls' heads?
YESSSS it does. 99% of the time credits are ordered in level of contribution. I guess if you are an enthusiast for someone who is normally not credited, or credited near last, this information would be new to you.
Why so defensive It's a common saying in the industry that big stars take 1/3 of the royalties without being involved in the songwriting. Bey has never written & produced songs entirely by herself because she can't.
Except she has written a song entirely by herself.

Right? Example, the song "Smack Into You" by Jon McLaughlin was released and at the time it was written and produced by The Dream. Beyonce ended up using it for her album - same lyrics, almost identical production. However, one word was changed (yes, one). It changed from "Smack" to "Smash", and surprisingly Beyonce got BOTH credits for writing and producing.

If you think the difference is just one word.
You have no idead what you're talking about.
