This is idiotic since none of us get to see the percentage of royalties for the songs.
Don't even.
Beyoncé's collaborators always say how much involvement she has, and its never "hey she came and changed a word and left". That has happened for certain songs but as I said do you have a receipt she gets 1/3? If not don't say that.
Why so defensive It's a common saying in the industry that big stars take 1/3 of the royalties without being involved in the songwriting. Bey has never written & produced songs entirely by herself because she can't.
In all honesty, Bey has too many instances where she barely changed a song but put her name on the credits, so I'm always a little weary of her writing involvement. She's clearly involved with it and has ideas, puts her spin on things, etc, but I doubt she often is a main writer on a song.
That said, she's clearly an amazing artist overall and does things so many others don't, so it's not a big deal, I just wish she would be more honest about it.
2. HOLD UP
WRITTEN BY THOMAS WESLEY PENTZ, EZRA KOENIG, BEYONCÉ, EMILE HAYNIE, JOSHUA TILLMAN, UZOECHI EMENIKE, SEAN RHODEN P/K/A MELO-X, DOC POMUS, MORT SCHUMAN, DEANDRE WAY, ANTONIO RANDOLPH, KELVIN MCCONNELL, BRIAN CHASE, KAREN ORZOLEK AND NICK ZINNER
Mess but for having production credits on every track
Y'all are so petty about this. It is so easy to collaborate with many people on one song as someone suggests an idea (lyrics, melody, harmonies) and it's bomb so you use it and then they get credited.
Painting is not the same as music, and also painters do collaborate,, critique each other's work, "sample work" by getting inspiration from other painters, picasso, matisse have all done this so their credits would be as long if treated like music. SO get off your high horse.
I LOVE Beyoncé and I've seen her twice in concert.. At the same time I am also unbiased (a personally trait that people have, that has save my life and save a lot of arguments)
Mess but for having production credits on every track
Why are you and others shading this seemingly long list of writers. It contains a sample, so everyone from the sample song had to be credited. Yall shade her for supposedly not wanting to give credit and still do so when she gives everyone credit.
