To an extent, that means if Hilary Clinton gets in, she cannot speak up or try and help the Black Lives Matter campaign and the racism in america?

Where did I say that? I said if she feels some kind of way of someone speaking about BLM shouldn't she be the one to start a campaign for others if she feels they are not getting put out there? Why should black people have to labor to everyone to start a simple trend?

Gui, Beyoncé has BEEN doing it don't get it twisted.

well she should ask herself in the mirror or Zayn or other muslim acts who might be a voice for those who suffer. Bey is, fun fact here, black and strongly associates with this particular ethnic group who has been discriminated in the USA for the longest.
I hate when people say stuff like this. And M.I.A., who talks about Kongo matters? Or Kenya matters? Or Brazil matters? Like, get a grip gurl.

Why would beyonce speak on that. She should ignore the issues her people have to speak on a group of people she has no affliction with

Its about what is tabboo to widely talk about. While people are already used to talks about racism and black rights (it doesnt mean that its not controversial or not as important though, just that its a common topic that has a lot of supporters), they arent used or comfortable with talking the Middle East issues and muslim issues. Noone is diminishing anything.

Where did you or Mia get the impression that people are comfortable about talking about racial issues?did you miss the whole backlash against Bey for just making a song to celebrate her blackness?she was widely accused of race baiting.
Plus I never knew that it was a taboo to talk about the plight of Muslims because some celebs have come out to defend Muslims and heaven did not fall,it's even a hot topic in the political sphere or have you forgotten how the world rallied in support of the people of Syria?like I still don't get her.

Why is this Beyonce or Kendricks responsibility?
I'm not saying the idea isn't good, but why is it an issue that they're supporting their heritage, their race, and the prospect of a better life for their families?

M.I.A. has a point.
I think Beyonce only does things that benefits HER. Speaking about feminism or BLM helps Beyonce's career. That's the REAL reason she does it. If supporting those things was something that would damage her career she wouldn't do it.

But, those are things that she as a woman and as a black woman goes through. She has making feminist anthems since the 90s. She's donated, referenced, etc. about her culture numerous times before. I know you have a strong hate for someone who don't know you but pls stop being just as ignorant as MIA is.

By that same logic you could say no white people have to support Black Lives Matter (but you will find many do actually support it).
It would be much better if everybody could agree that ALL lives matter. The lives of people in Syria or Iraq matter just as much as the lives of people in New York or Los Angeles. We should treat everybody equally.

Have you not seen the negative impact Formation had among so many people, albeit racists, but still? I mean her YouTube comments are full of kill threats. While her career isn't damaged, it easily could've been.

Yes, and she does it because it benefits her.
If supporting feminism or BLM was going to destroy Beyonce's career she wouldn't risk doing it. We all know that.

Talking social issues will always bring you some kind of backleash, thats why people need to talk them. But the black rights is an issue that is engraved in US history and people are already used to talk about it and fight for it for decades and rightly so. The muslim issue wasnt a huge thing untill the 00s and its really a tabboo topic because many people wrongly associate Islam and thus all Muslims with terrorism. It has a huge stigma and thats the reason why are celebs affraid to address it, because they are affraid that it will hurt their careers and keep being silent. Get a clue hun.

Why would she have to care about any existing minority now? Like we get it that she's using these all lives matter things to boost her sales and public image but also for a good cause, but this doesn't mean that she's a hypocrit if she doesn't support all minorities.

Your ideas are great in theory, but you can't hold someone responsible because they don't act on what you think is appropriate. Beyonce isn't some superhero that should come and round up and put out every public issue there is.
And why are we holding Beyonce responsible, or Kendrick? If you're saying EVERYONE should agree, then why isn't the entire celebrity base supporting all these different movements?

It benefits her because she goes through it as well.
But, she's getting backlash for both and she's STILL going through with it. Your point is because you have weird hate for someone who doesn't know you.

Beyoncé can speak up about what she wants to. Anyone who thinks she owes them something is just bitter or stupid.

I know you don't live in the US, but Formation caused an uproar with a lot of people. Police officers were boycotting her, places were boycotting her tour by saying they wouldn't offer security, she has been threatened to be killed by various people, they stayed talking about her on several conservative news channels for days.
There was backlash in the US, it was all over my FB feed. You don't know what you're talking about
