It should not matter that 'traditional' families outnumber 'nontraditionals' - "parent 1/2" are inclusive terms that would broadly apply to all types of families, despite statistics proving that more 'traditional' families exist. Backlash and response should not be factors deciding whether to use inclusive pro-LGBT+ terminologies that correspond precisely with what modern Western societies are advocating for and aligning with.
I'm ending my argument here. This particular thing should not be a matter of discussion but a given area of common agreement between forward-thinking progressives. It's too shocking to me already that we're even debating such topic.
