This will make the lightening port more susebtible to loosening and problems with charging and hearing since your going to be be moving it in and out moreso then just occasionally for a recharge.

They've actually gotten worse regarding the latter. I never use cases, and that was perfectly fine with my (ancient) 4s, because the glass back created a grip with my fingers. But the 6 has a smooth back that makes holding it (w/o a case) like holding wet soap. It's a mess.

Using a phone case is supposed to be a precaution, not an outright necessity.
