Unless, of course, you're insinuating that Britney invented the colour blue...
In which case...
I have nothing to tell you.

despite being over 10 years old, i still hear it at least once a day on one of the biggest stations in the US, KIIS(http://www.mediabase.com/whatsong/wh...73083045070077) (nothing for gaga ofc), still being referenced, still covered multiple times every year on singing shows and by other artists.
It's not even debatable, hence why basically everyone, not just the army, is saying yes except for atrl monsters prince high & amenhooker

???
The Beatles, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Madonna aren't here either. Are you saying 'Toxic' is more iconic than any of their songs, too, because a radio station in LA played it recently?
---
The song, while fun and catchy, is not iconic outside of Britney fansites like ATRL.

you can't even drag britney without embarrassing yourself and your fav

My fave's classic "Beautiful" doesn't have to get played at 2 am to get recognition of being a classic. It peaked at #2 in the US during its time, outpeaking Toxic, which is only really remembered among Britney fans and ATRL.

no i'm saying that it still gets recurrent airplay, one of the factors in determining what makes something a classic. That along with all the other reasons i listed=classic. your cherry picking & selective reading isn't going to get you anywhere

These are the same fans who'd say she's more iconic than those people though
Again, I'm not impressed at all with the impact Toxic had in its chart and I'm not impressed with how "iconic" it is today.

Not at all. 'Toxic' is pretty forgotten outside of stan culture. The song isn't in the top 1500 of iTunes.
Actual classics like 'Like a Prayer', 'Crazy in Love', 'Poker Face', 'Umbrella', 'Rolling in the Deep' etc. are.
A classic pop song is one which endures and stands the test of time.

Toxic was more streamed than Umbrella and Poker Face last year on YouTube

so you're saying come on over & What a girl wants are bigger classics than beautiful because they peaked at #1
lol at toxic only being remembered on atrl and beautiful when:
YT: Toxic>Beautiful
Spotify: Toxic>Beautiful
Memorability: Toxic>Beautiful
Not to mention Britney hasn't performed it outside of her concerts in over a decade while Xtina performs Beautiful at almost every function she's invited to

What do YT views have to do with songs being classics?
Several classics don't have much views on YT. Are you saying Toxic is more of a classic than Like A Virgin or Frank Sinatra's several signature songs, which have low view counts on YouTube?
