Regardless of the complaining about certain buzz phrases the movie uses; women get raped on college campuses and everywhere else by men. Men also rape other men at high levels. (DOJ stats) The movie's overall goal is making victims of these crimes feel like they have a chance at justice. Godga (not an abuser herself unlike Brittany) won!

The term itself should be abandoned as it's not accurate and assumes that rape is accepted in Western societies when it's widely considered one of the worst possible crimes and harshly penalized if proven. If I'm going to be attacked and mocked for this belief then so be it, I'd rather be someone who thinks for myself. Most of what I say on this forum is not understood or is attacked anyway because it goes against the grain. I'm used to it. At this point Gaga being a part of it is an anecdote, but considering her past politics (using religion to justify gay acceptance, supporting the American military) it's hardly surprising.
"harshly penalized if proven" What? Rape sentences barely get 10 years in the USA. Drug charges can get you worse. Motor vehicle accidents can, too. Even some DUIs.
I would rather believe the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, who don't support the idea of there being a "rape culture" in US campuses, over some fomo's on ATRL!
