I remember it being really popular in the UK along with Starstrukk. I think it really helped her leading into TD for in the UK, I kinda feel she's benefit from something similar this year to be honest after the general underprodmrnace of PRISM here.

I would argue that Katy is currently in a better position than those two artists were. Even if Katy's lead single sucks it could still perform a BTW.

I'm not worried about it sucking, I am sure it is going to be another great anthem. Besides quality > success. I rather have her make her best album and flop miserably than make a ****** album with Adele-like success.
