But more important than that, and what you refuse to accept, is that people are responsible for their own emotions. Point blank. Well they're clearly not happy about it, so it's pretty clear they didn't want her to do it.
The point is, if she was loyal to the group and putting her main focus on them, she wouldn't have done it. She clearly knew they weren't happy about it but did it anyway, and is continuing to attend events and promote it, despite it already causing a rupture on the public side of things (radio stations tweeting 5H and Camila separately, calling them Camila and the gang, etc). An important thing in a group is cohesion and loyalty to each other, and Camila doing this while knowing the other girls weren't happy about it is clearly creating tension.
Look at Destiny's Child....none of them did any solo projects until the group disbanded. Same with 1D, Harry was doing some songwriting outside of the group but never released anything on his own, despite multiple offers of being a feature on other artists' songs. It's called being loyal to your group and understanding that it is NOT a good decision for the group, especially when you're just getting your first big hit.
And again, if it's completely fine for a member of a group to go off and do a solo Pop song, what if each of them decided to do that? That would be messy as hell.
