Yeah um... I don't agree with that at all. Everyone wears / has been wearing henna for awhile now.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT CULTURAL APPROPRIATION.
I'm sure Indians have a billion other things to be upset about that are more important than some woman giving henna tattoo's to cancer patients. These people need to put this energy towards actually HELPING people in need, instead of just picking fights with CANCER PATIENTS.

It's not everybody's job to take action for every single political/social movement.
Plus, do you actually think anybody take SJW's seriously when they whine about trivial **** like this?

It's just so hilarious when tumblr keyboard warriors moan about trivial things like this, especially when 99% of the time they're all privileged first-world self-righteous entitled brats (who aren't even part of whichever culture is in question and know absolutely nothing about it to begin with) that are only looking to gain brownie points in their "look at me I'm not racist!!!" circle jerks on social media.
And that first woman in the photoset isn't white. Lol.

And no one cares about homophobia too in many territories, hunti!!
This is a mess but let's stop pretending cul. app. is not a real thing. Reducing headdress etc. to fashion statements IS racist.

The difference is: I'm South Asian, you aren't. And you're going to "waste your time arguing" with me, when you see everything so black and white? The utter irony. I can't decide what's more humiliatingly sad: the fact that I'm "entitled" or how quick you were to stop defending your anti-SJW/anti-South Asian agenda. Clearly, if an actual South Asian is telling you something you should have the decency to acknowledge, "hey, since I have never experienced this, let me pay attention."
But of course, the angry SJWs are too entitled!!! Give me a break.

There's a huge difference between positive and negative Cultural Appropriation. Cultural smudging, misrepresentation and mockery is something I or anyone else should condemn - Blackface being a most well-known example. This example in the OP however isn't using ones culture offensively, no matter how many young Asians are going to perch in this thread and flood us with their tears. It would only offend a new, traditional Asian and/or African, and they frankly don't have much to say on the matter since they weren't the first groups of people to use henna body art. No one alive today is an ancient Egyptian, who were the first people in history to adopt the custom of such dye and patterns - one of many parts of Egyptian history that has since been stolen for today's market. That's why I would say it's ********. But hey, let's read the drivel nonetheless.

You are so quick to jump on the "lelz SJWs!!!" bandwagon but fail to realise this is a common and well-discussed situation amongst all South Asians. I don't see where YOU come into the conversation when it, literally, does not affect you or your history and representation in the slightest. Keep talking about pop stars and how much sales impact your life, but don't ****ing belittle my people for a quick kii.
We don't want whites and non-Desis exploiting our fashions and stripping it of its significance. Simple as that. It's not a SJW thing, it's preserving cultural heritage. If these cancer patients want to feel beautiful, this is not the way.

Also what was the point of them going after that company in particular instead of people that supposedly appropriate it / wear henna in general? Am I missing something? ....

I promise I'm trying to pay attention. But I don't think anyone is trying to be "anti-South Asian." What reason do I have to be anti-South Asian?
I understand your anger, like I've said before, but there are some South Asians that may disagree with you. While I get that a lot of people might be upset, I'm not saying that you're wrong for being upset, but I was saying that some of these SJW's took it too far by bringing it up at the wrong time.

SJW is a negative term made up by racists and homophobes to bring down those who were trying to make a difference. Now, everyone trying to make a difference is mindlessly labelled an SJW: such a term is riddled with imprinted negative connotations.
It's pretty clear to me that you're uninformed on this subject.

And now finally, a South Asian has given their opinion, people are telling the member to shut the **** up?
People only want to listen to what they want to hear.

I guess it really depends where you live. Some ATRLers live in very racist places so it's understandable for them to get offended over the littlest things.

I wasn't one of the people who said "Let a South Asian get offended by it."
Someone can be black and defend slavery. Does their argument automatically trump yours just because they're black?
By the way, not trying to offend any people of color by making that parallelism. Just trying to give a quick example. I am of color myself.
