Actually, they have a valid point here and there. Not sure I agree with the whole thing entirely. But I do agree with the contrast about the treatment between a white woman and an Indian woman being sick.
But of course, anyone who agrees with a point with 'SJWs' is automatically a 'SJW'. Better than being ignorant and a racist, I suppose.
didnt bother to read the other long img. guess im a SJW?
Go ahead and read the other img / much worse.

So are you saying that anyone that doesn't agree with an SJW is automatically being ignorant and racist? Hmm...
While I agree that there is a huge difference in the way that white patients and Indian patients are treated, that is not something that should be taken out on the women with cancer, nor should anyone ruin something that they're doing to feel better about themselves.
Contrary to popular belief, "cultural appropriation" does not actually hurt people in this scenario. So why aren't we able to leave these women alone without making sly comments about privilege? We know whites have privilege. That's old news. Was this a good time to bring that up? I don't think so.
This thread wasn't to say that some of the things they were saying weren't correct, but rather to say that whether it was or wasn't correct, it shouldn't have been said. Those women probably do not have much time left on Earth, so I just don't understand why some people feel the need to jam these concepts down their throats.
If those dying women would like to wear some body paint, then let them wear it in peace. It's not like they are the ones refusing medication to indians.

That's just because of India's extremely terrible inequality and rampant poverty. Its not as if these Canadian women are in any way responsible.
Let them have their henna, the bindi is perhaps a more contentious point given its religious significance but I still think Hindu people should be the ones deciding if its offensive.

No, my argument is that ATRL tends to show anger way more towards SJWs than racists, sexist (but of course not the homophobes) themselves. That's the issue. The anger is unhealthy, let go. If you guys don't take them seriously, why do you feel the need to constantly watch everything they do? Concentrate on progressing in society, if these SJWs really bother you, then just ignore them.
Again, please bold where I claimed its the dying women's faults. There is a problem in between the medical technology/opportunities in the western world and South Asia. That's all I'm literally agreeing with.
Like.... let me have my opinion.
I think this concept is beautiful, but you're just putting words in my mouth here.

All I said is that there's a contrast between the medical treatment between South Asians and Canadians, and it's an issue. Could you please bold I claimed claimed Canadian women are responsible themselves?

So these henna crowns, which are drawn on by henna tattoo artists, which last for only two weeks, and in the meantime give confidence/comfort to people who are going through cancer and may potentially die very soon, are to blame or should be held responsible, for the Indian people who don't get access to proper medication in a completely different country?
OP: as a legit South Asian here, you need to go **** yourself. How do you have the audacity to decide what is and isn't offensive about appropriating South Asian culture when it doesn't concern you -- at all?
You are so quick to jump on the "lelz SJWs!!!" bandwagon but fail to realise this is a common and well-discussed situation amongst all South Asians. I don't see where YOU come into the conversation when it, literally, does not affect you or your history and representation in the slightest. Keep talking about pop stars and how much sales impact your life, but don't ****ing belittle my people for a quick kii.
We don't want whites and non-Desis exploiting our fashions and stripping it of its significance. Simple as that. It's not a SJW thing, it's preserving cultural heritage. If these cancer patients want to feel beautiful, this is not the way.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that you were the one claiming that the cancer patients were to be blamed. It's just the hostile attitude toward them on tumblr kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.
We're on tumblr/ATRL a lot so you can already basically assume that we all already dislike sexists and racists, as well as homophobes. We like the idea of calling stuff out, but people take it too far too quickly and then it starts to gain negative attention. Republicans eat this kind of stuff up and claim that this is how all liberals think. This is why people complain about "PC" culture when it actually isn't really this extreme.
I am not sure about others, but I personally love calling SJW's out on bs, because they are the ones fighting against the homophobes, racists, and sexists, supposedly, but end up becoming hypocrites and start sounding racist/homophobic/sexist themselves. So it gets hard to take them seriously, but at the same time we kind of have to because some conservative keep an eye on them and use those horrible SJW posts for their own political agendas. So we need to know what's up tbh.

1. Did I say it was or wasn't offensive? Nope! You missed that one.
2. If I don't have any audacity to decide what is/isn't offensive, why aren't you calling out the people who did it on tumblr, which I posted? They did the same thing I did, but the other way around. Guess you didn't consider that, though...
3. Where in the thread did I belittle South Asians...? Oh....
Sorry if you felt that I was "attacking" your culture. I really wasn't.
