Well to be honest, Macklemore win didn't shocked me as much because I knew it was a possible chance that he was going to win because he was also nod for Album of the Year also.

That the reason why I said you don't know what you're talking about.

Nobody think Kendrick is changing because he did a collaboration with Taylor Swift.
You acting like Kendrick is mainstream.

It wasn't even a joke. I just wasn't sure if you were being petty or asking a question. I guess you cleared that up.

As I said before, this is fun. The OP gets a hit thread, Kendrick wins the grammy award... it's a win/win for everybody.

Being a rapper signed to a major label with endorsements is mainstream enough. The fact that all of these publications are speaking Kendrick's name says enough. When street singles become singles promoted on Late Shows with Vevo debuts, topping Urban radio charts, radio deals, and grammy nominations... you've become mainstream. This is a waste of time because Kendrick, Cole, Sean, Drake, Onika, Jay, Kanye, Rick, Wayne, and even Future are all mainstream. All of the nominees are signed to major labels. Now if you're wondering about the difference between pop and mainstream, you might need to do some research.

Because you signed to a major label doesn't mean you're mainstream. Their plenty of artists who signed to a major label and not mainstream.
In your point of view, rapper Logic is mainstream.
Jay, Drake, Nicki and Eminem is wayyyyy more mainstream than Kendrick.
You acting like TPAB was a mainstream album which wasn't at all. His first single "I" was in the top 30 more so cause of streaming and iTunes more so than airplay while the rest wasn't even in the top 40.

Lol. If you don't know the difference between mainstream and Pop, don't speak. Logic is quickly becoming mainstream, or accepted by a wider audience. His second major label album was just released, and he has been played on radio for the last year on Sirius XM The Heat (Urban/Rhythmic Radio) with Under Pressure.

Kendrick, without a doubt. If he doesn't, then J Cole deserves it

There are many people I agree who are signed to a major label and are about to become mainstream once a larger audience than their SoundCloud/ Myspace account is exposed to their music, but Logic is well on his way.
