That's the thing though. Everytime and From the Bottom of My Broken Heart were successful in the US. The latter was even the 8th best selling physical single of the 2000s in that country.

You haven't explained why all her other ballads flopped without the radio blacklist hanging over them.

Your argument would check out if her previous and later ballads saw success, but they didn't.

Everytime wasn't blacklisted. That stuff ended before Toxic was released. Radio in the US just didn't like it much.

She flopped with many singles up until 2007/08. This is no secret. Some were blacklisted, some just weren't popular. Everywhere else they were so no one cares.
