This is a bit misleading, since it's total sales to-date in the US are at 2,667,000. That is not counting the sales week that just ended today, which will be reported on Monday. So then, it might be at or close to 3 million in sales. But it's NOT at 4 million in sales YET.

I know, I just dislike this new RIAA certification system because now it doesn't go strictly by sales. Even if Lady Gaga has 2 Diamond certifications, imo I like the platinum awards to actually reflect sales.

Not to discredit Hello, but I doubt it. Hello already hit its peak and now its slowing down. It might get a sales boost at Christmas (like all songs do) my guess is 4 million by the end of the year, then just steadily drop in sales. 8.7+ million just seems WAY up there!
