My lifelong illness isn't curable, which is ultimately the problem. I don't talk about it, which is why they're referring me.

I don't want to come across pitiful and attention-seeking because I'm really not. I'm just realistic about everything and the professionals just don't seem to understand what's going on. Hopefully this said referral will help. That'll take a few weeks, and basically the doctor's just written me off of anything until mid January now, even though I explained that I can just go back to work and carry on like nothing's wrong. But that'd be a bad decision on my part, which is why the doctor said no.
