You can also put emulators on your phone, but...if you're wanting the true genuine "nostalgia" feel of holding a "console" in your hands, then just go on eBay and pick up a GBC and a copy of Pokemon RBY. It can NOT be that expensive to do so if you really wanted it JUST for nostalgia's sake.

I agree with this though. I still have my GBA SP and my original Red cartridge. But I can't play it coz it's so outdated and no VC will change that. It might have been different if it was wifi-capable and able to be used with Pokemon Bank. That would have been the best thing ever.
Altho as I said I wanted a remake. Now they're going to use the "but RBY is now available on 3DS" as an excuse to not do one. SMH BYE
Instead of a Yellow remake, they should just let Pokemon be able to follow behind you in Z. That's literally the only thing I'd want out of Yellow. Kanto is so ****ing boring at this point I hate even looking at the starters.

The thing I like about Kanto is kind of how dead it is. Like, I never listen to the games playing music, and I never talk to the npcs either because it's ****ing annoying. This along with the design of the game and the "boringness" of Kanto, it really makes your feel quite secluded, like you are really on an adventure. Idk how to explain it but the other gems kind of all have too much. The simplicity is what works best.
I was actually here for it until I found out no wifi...literally why. Like unless it's a technical limitation, but they made local wireless work...it couldn't possibly be that much effort to set up some form of wireless system.
The graphics are dated, but I couldn't care less. I'm currently playing a fan made game based on Gen 2's graphics. (Which is called Super Pokemon Eevee Edition and its edgy af, but I low-key live for it.)
