I just heard about this over on Amino. I think it's a cute idea with the originals. I hope they add more. I think I might cop them for the nostalgia factor.
Mess at the meltdowns in here when some of u asked for RBY on virtual console months ago and it's the 20th anniversary, what did you expect? The picross game will hold me over until I can replay RBY on 3ds & then PSMD until Z tbh.
Many expected remakes with updated graphics/gameplay mechanics but VC ports usually are untouched. Something similar happened with the Mario Galaxy 2 port on the Wii U.

I was expecting a real remake though. It's only fair. Pokemon's reasons for remakes are that the games cannot be played on the current generation. FRLG are the only games not available to be played on 3DS and now I'm so mad coz it means we ain't even getting a remake now

I've seen nobody expecting full 3ds remakes and I'm a regular poster in here. Everybody was rooting for Z, which obviously will still come. RBY being on VC won't change that.
People who's first games weren't RBY simply don't understand. It's the way you all cream yourselves over anything Gen 3 related although in actuality it's all **** - just cause it was your first gen. The reason there are many what you called "genwunners" is because it was the first one so obviously it will be many peoples first games, stupid.
Emulators are horrible to use and often unreliable. The actual physicality of holding a console >>>> sitting on some computer. It's the same argument for people who prefer physical books to ebooks or whatever.

You can also put emulators on your phone, but...if you're wanting the true genuine "nostalgia" feel of holding a "console" in your hands, then just go on eBay and pick up a GBC and a copy of Pokemon RBY. It can NOT be that expensive to do so if you really wanted it JUST for nostalgia's sake.
Also, my first game was Yellow, but I played Blue later on.

Ain't nobody got time for some ****** emulator. It's not the same as playing them on a Nintendo handheld device. I'm happy they're being released on VC, I lost my original copies years ago and couldn't be bothered to get new ones on ebay so I'm excited
