Exactly and the only reason E=MC2 sold big opening week was because of how big TEOM was, "Touch My Body" is just as gimmicky as "Obsessed" (even if its MILES better of a song).

I understand that, and I don't really feel like arguing further, but I just think the circumstances today are very different from how they were for her back then.
ok but this is MARIAH. P!nk is not known for big opening weeks--it was the same way for I'm Not Dead. Of course, Mariah's last big opening didn't lead to impressive overall sales either, but that was just because they butchered the singles.
Once again I'd love to see this have a resurgence but I'm not optimistic.

i just think this album wasnt promoted properly ... i barely even know when it was coming out til it did & i'm a atrl member the rest of the country more likely didnt even know
