Well... it is. I'd love to see something from the album smash and give it longevity but if "IWTKWLI" isn't doing well then nothing else on the album will. There are a lot of urban/AC hits but no real pop hits (aside from that and "Obsessed").

I guess you could argue that urban artists often have long-lasting albums but that has never been Mariah's fanbase.

I don't think it's the marraige because people are interested. That topic along with Precious has been overshadowing the album itself. In interviews they don't even really discuss it.

I hope this has longevity so this could shut the haters claiming FLOP! For a #3 debut with sales even lower than when E=MC2 was out. We can say the whole top 3 are flops in that case.

I think it will. A mariah album can't fall down the charts forever and never be heard from again. She's gonna do some promo plus her management tells us to get ready for a Mariah onslaught.

ok but this is MARIAH. P!nk is not known for big opening weeks--it was the same way for I'm Not Dead. Of course, Mariah's last big opening didn't lead to impressive overall sales either, but that was just because they butchered the singles.

Once again I'd love to see this have a resurgence but I'm not optimistic.

As said before, Mariah has only had 2 great opening numbers and that's for E=MC2 & TEOM. The albums prior to that opened up with the type of numbers she has for this one.
