Why are Gaga fans so against her voice having some actual emotion to it? It's what sets her apart.
It takes time to get used to that. Just like Dope, or TIHTY, or this cover, she does sound a bit different than what we're used to. I personally like it (in a way), but she needs to tone it down a bit.

Then season 3, Coven, was less horror & more campy in a way (If you've heard about Scream Queens, it was like that, but not as bad as SQ) & it went basically viral on social networks (esp. Tumblr). Hotel is ok so far, it's not the best nor the worst. Have you watched the previous seasons? (If not, you should give them a try). Also, I've noticed a lot of people saying that - And I agree myself - I tend to dislike the season when it's airing, but once the season's done and I can watch all the episodes at once, I tend to enjoy it more (Did it for Asylum, Coven & FS for me).
The show gets very good ratings for a show on FX + overall (Ins't it currently the 3rd most watched show on cable, behind TWD & FTWD?). I know it's FX's #1 show currently.

I'm kinda annoyed cause in theory I love it, creepy hotel, Gaga playing an evil but glamorous vampire, murder and mystery etc. However I just find it a bit dull, terribly contrived, and not all together pulled together properly. I mean I'll watch it for Gaga and will persist, cause I don't HATE it, but I don't particularly enjoy it.

Yeah, give season 1 & 2 a try. Season 1 is very similar to Hotel, but better (imo). Season 2 is definitely the peak of the show in term of pretty much everything.
like dämon said watching the season in a couple of days is much better than waiting week to week.
i'm enjoying hotel, it's not my fave seasons but it's better than covern for sure. it just feels different to the other seasons.
gaga's acting is sometimes very good, sometimes just ok, but never really bad. i wish they would give her more to do cause well i'm thirsty but it's ok it's her first tv role. they couldn't risk putting everything on gaga.
at least it's keeping me occupied over the rest of year.
