i've been saying forever that she should release a ballad as a first single, problem is most of her ballads aren't very radio friendly, too slow, too rocky, too raw i guess.

but i really believe she could do a "proper" ballad really well.

maybe she'll perform til it happens to you to start her oscar campaign

One of my fave performances. She got the right balance of grit and rawness without going drawling drunk like she sometimes does. Plus, contrasting it with the purity of her headvoice was brilliant.

I have a feeling she'll pull some sort of 'I want to honour MY woman of the year' line, and follow it with either a cover of one of her female idols...or a song dedicated to her mother.
