Only Beyonce would exploit the sick to add emotion to her performances
well with her dad you never know but i don't think so..
it's a good deed and nice of her to do this for the girl,
so even if this was for more emotion in her performance or a publicity stunt,
the little girl still got to be on stage with her idol so who cares

about anything else.
Yes that's true. But if she truly cared she should've just given the girl a private meeting and concert.
I think I am the only one that thinks it is inappropriate. If she sang that song to my sick child I would be furious. "hope you don't fade away" How scary that may be for her to hear. I think it would have been nice if she sang a different song to her. What a publicity moment for Beyonce. Finding a sick child to sing Halo to. I LOVE Beyonce!! I just think it was inappropriate.

well true...
i guess it does seem a bit exploitative by taking her up on stage:-/

i was sorta thinking that too about the lyrics:-/
"i can see your halo" sounds a bit wrong
because it's sorta already hinting at death...
wow it's very disturbing and creepy when i think about it now..
maybe she should have sang something else
So damn beautiful. Although I agree Halo was kind of an awkward choice, even something like Ave Maria, or a Sarah McLachlan cover would've been more appropriate.
But my prayers go out to Chelsea and the family, I hope she recovers.
Would you rather have Matthew and Beyonce snub the girl + her family off? Because from some of what I'm reading here, this would seem to be the more appropriate alternative... o_O...
Irregardless if this was an ill-intended publicity stunt or not, little Chelsea got a wish/dream granted, the emotion was real, and nothing but happiness/positivity came out for both sides.
Besides, after the VMAs, I feel Beyonce and her company have good pure qualities to their souls. (Even if there is a $$$ intention attached, which truthfully we will all be guilty of at one point in life...)

I KNOW...i like Beyonce and all...but god....that was so wrong.
Specially the I pray you don't fade away part :X
And how is it inappropriate to tell a little girl you hope she lives? "I pray you don't fade away" Obviously means I hope you live to see another day. The girl has cancer which is something you can die from.
And I can see your Halo does not have to be about death. Angels have halos...
nevermind I don't even know why I'm trying to explain this.
I hope wish that beautiful little angel the best and I pray she doesn't fade away.
