For every stack of CDs you see there, that counts as one sale.
So that's a total of 4 sales towards the chart.
How exactly would that save her?
Genuine question, honestly no shade intended at all, do we have any proof that multiple purchases on one receipt only count as one sale? I feel like that could be one of those urban legend things with nothing to back it up.
Also I don't get the point in buying 100 copies like those idiots did
I mean if your fave released a bunch of different versions with different covers I can agree with buying maybe 4-5 copies especially if you collect but like....wtf are you gonna do it 99 extra Demi lovato CDs

Yeah. We found proof of it yesterday. I will go see if I can find it.
Y'all act like this is SPS included, once that comes in she'll for sure be doing 80k+
Also those fans are dumb for buying all of those copies at once, should've had them purchased in sets of 10 or less so each CD would count as a single sale.
Well considering Demi has always had more front loaded sales than Selena she should again.

Who knows but I feel like Demi will have a bigger first week sales and more longevity.
Don't quote me though! I've heard her single is produced by Max Martin.

Demi, but Selena will have the longevity and that matters more. I wish both of them success cause they're my faves tho.

C&GI had 2 days of sales its first week.
Demi is always frontloaded with big first-week sales, it would be tragic if she didn't beat Selena.

Well looking at both their histories I'm going to have to go with Demi, but Selena will have the longevity that Demetria lacks

Just saw that Demi's release week will be extra long, she has no excuses not to easily outsell Selena since her stans always brag about her first week sales!

Demi- her first week sales are always great. I also think Demi kind of just killed the buzz of Selena's single by her big announcement today.

Just look at Heart Attack. Massive first week (frontloaded only) but since then has had no cultural impact. i even forgot about it.. Selena's song is fresh new different but the gp may just want to eat up the generic Max Martin stuff theyve been so accustomed to

It's on either the RIAA or Billboard website somewhere. I saw it yesterday, but I'm sure somebody would be able to dig it up again.

Buying a track two times would count as two sales. There could be a number of reasons you would want to buy the same song twice (maybe you want to have it on 10 different computers). However, if you were to buy a track, let's say, oh, 800 times, that would be considered an anomaly and would not count. So it's not possible to rig the charts by buying the same track an exorbitant amount of times. The same has always been true of physical records as well.
