I feel like she also really wants to distinguish her pop star persona from that of the Countess. Which will be a very important task for her to accomplish without coming off as try-hard & forced.
I found the soundtrack to be the best part of the episode, sadly.
Gaga's character tried to be opulent and grandiose but she seemed too stiff and awkward, completely unrealistic to the world and characters surrounding her, if the whole point of the Countess is that she's completely deadpan and expresionless, then I guess she succeeded.
Sally shone for me, not surprising considering Sarah Paulson is the finest assest this show has to offer. Can't wait to see Naomi, Angela, Evan and Lily.
You could tell she was focusing very hard on how to present herself facially.
She's still learning. She will improve.
Mess, I didn't realize that. That seemed like an actual choice to make her look more pretentious (unlike how people claimed that's why she sounded the way she did in the Will Drake scene), but maybe. But she was really good in the orgy scene when she started walking towards the bed. That whole scene was slayage.
