Honestly the first episode was a little bit confusing but AHS has always had a million stories going on at the same time; Hopefully it gets easier to understand with the next episode. I love how dark it is though. I'm so glad Ryan has Scream Queens and Hotel happening at the same time, it's like SQ is him getting out all of his campiness and comedy so Hotel can have all the darkness and gore. Both are marvelous as separate entities, a mess when brought together (Coven/Freak Show I'm looking at you ) The Countess and Donovan are my favorite characters so far but pretty much everyone was great

Ok, i don't really know how i feel about the premiere. Some aspects were intriguing, some aspects were confusing. I think in the end, summing it up, it doesn't really feel like American Horror Story. All previews seasons had the AHS feeling, the atmosphere. That is lucking from Hotel imo.
It just doesn't seem real. It seems staged and way over dramatic and theatrical. Like, every time The Countess appears, its this dramatic BOOM on the screen. It doesn't feel authentic. And that is taking away from the horror aspect of the show. Horror comes from an authentic place. Like the scene were The Countess sliced that blond girl's throat. It felts really out of it. Like, it was comical. Compare that scene with when Fiona sliced Madison's throat. That scene is much more powerful because it feels raw and real. The scene in Hotel felt like a murder we would see on Scream Queens.

And i don't know how to explain this, but it kind of feels like a bit claustrophobic. Like, in each season we had a specific place where everything went down. The Murder House, Briacliff, The Witch House and the Freak show. Im just not feeling the hotel are a location or setting at the moment. We only saw a few rooms and The Countess room and ****. I honestly have no idea how the season will progress. And there is not a specific plot yet.

I must admit, the first part of the premiere was awesome. Like, when the 2 blond chicks checked in. I kinda got a 1408 feeling which was awesome.

Can't wait to see how the season develops. Hopefully Gaga can develop more as her character because im not really feeling her acting or character. It's just all over the place. Like, she hasn;t spoken in some serious dialogue. I dont get her story so far, i don't get her character, i don't know what The Countess is like. That is the actors fault.

Im gonna say it from now. I know it's just one episode but Jessica lange has left a HUGE void on this show. It just doesn't feel like AHS without her.

I really enjoyed it because it felt like it lacked humanity and that's scarier than anything else for me. I can't wait to see the other characters join in.

This show has always been over the top, and it is usually pretty great. The drilldo seemed like AHS style to me.

This episode felt more AHS than the last two seasons, but I am not going to get my hopes up just yet.
