His only televised performance in the UK was chatty man & he got a #2 peaking Gold song in the UK.

And their debut was in 2008 (the year the Jonas Bros got a 2x Platinum album in their own country) vs. a debut album by a solo artist released in 2014 when the sales climate is literally in the pits.
