They're relevant for music and film since those reviews cover the piece as a whole. It makes no sense to designate a score to a TV show when the reviews only cover the first episode, and never does a show have consistent quality from episode to episode when they all have different writers, directors, etc.
What Metacritic and RT should do is wait until a season has finished airing and then add and average the reviews for each episode... but that'd be too much work, huh?

Ryan shouldn't have sent the premiere episode only. You can't form a quality opinion about the show on the basis of one episode. Anyway, I'm glad that critics favour Gaga's role and that's what matters the most.

Which is something to be more worried about. I had a fear the hotel setting could be potentially bland. But hey, not every season of AHS was going to be fantastic. It's why there is a different story every year. If Gaga at least kills it as this vampire countess but the storyline is eh, then I'll take it.

this is actually what worries me considering im more of a fan of the show than i am of gaga i was hoping that they could actually get the storytelling to not be a mess this year but i guess not
im glad gaga is getting good reviews on her parts tho, but she wont probably have any impact on the story since ryan murphy is an idiot and forgets about characters halfway through the season and then eventually leaves all of their plot lines open

If this season ends up disappointing me, I'm over the series.
Season's 1 and 2 were solid, 3 was entertaining because of its camp, but was ultimately missing something. Season 4 just became reckless midway. After Twisty *the clown* left, most of the scare was replaced with camp again. I was very disappointed.
