I started to think that when she said she had a traumatizing experience that kept her in the 90's, but I'm not sure if Nasim/Gigi is old enough. The girl in 1995 had to be 18 at the youngest, and 20 years later she'd be 38, but Nasim's only 33. I mean, it could work, and I'd be here for it, but I'm not sure.

I hope Blatboy doesn't die, though. We need to keep y'all around.

We've seen more than just her evil one-liners; her scenes with Chad show a slightly different side of her, and the background with her as a minion was great.

To an extent I agree, she has her funny moments (there's a reason she's not a least fav), but I think it's important for a lead to be sympathetic or three-dimensional too. Like, Walt from Breaking Bad is a FAR worse person than Madison, but he started out sympathetic, and even when he's more evil, there's still more dimensions than "bitchy"
The scenes with Chad are another reason I'm criticizing her, since the insecurity stuff... kinda completely failed at generating the slightest amount of sympathy (in fact, I don't even think it was meant to. Him dumping her for being a homophobic bitch is played for laughs and cheers) Likewise, the minion background stuff just makes her less sympathetic, since she knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of this and still does it. Lol

I mean, yeah, the breakup scene was played for laughs, but I guess I simply just disagree. I'm not gonna be a twat about it, but I don't think being sympathetic in a way that Grace is (she's so ****ing boring) is necessary. Scream Queens is different for that fact alone, and I think that's really important to the series. I'm sure we might see some development with her in the future, though. But, like y'all said, I really hope she doesn't become a good girl by the end, because that's just ridiculous.
As for the minion thing, I think it's a clear-cut case of the bullied becoming a bully. I've seen it happen plenty of times in real life.

Mess tho, you acting like I said make GRACE the lead when I straight up said I don't like her either I don't want a good girl lead. I do not like that archetype. Lol. I'm actually good with an alpha bitch in a lead role, I just wish they'd given her some more layers or something (for example, Madison from Coven was capable of being relatively-friendly despite the bitchiness, had the family issues, the fratboy stuff. There were still some sympathetic traits to her, she wasn't totally pure evil after episode 1) Wanting Chanel to have more than one dimension isn't the same as "I want bland Grace to be the final girl." In fact, if Chanel at least genuinely liked her minions like Chad likes Boone, and maybe wasn't a homophobe on top of everything or something, you'd be off to a good start. I just thought she was TOO much. I appreciate something different (and I totally get why you loved having her as the main), but.
I'd also probably be more lenient if I wasn't worn out by her bitch routine before ep 2 ended. That's another issue with the one-dimensional thing. There's only so many "White mammy" "Haze pledges" "Ew gays" jokes you can make :P If she had few more layers, she'd have more jokes to make and stay fresher longer
Yeah, that's exactly how I took her backstory. My point is it doesn't make her all that sympathetic

You've literally only seen 2 out of 15 episodes. Chill, I'm sure Chanel will be developed more.

Mess. I didn't mean to imply that. I'm just saying characters that tend to be sympathetic end up like Grace in this kinda situation; the only "likable" characters we have at the moment are Cathy & Zayday, I suppose, if we don't count her annoying ass.
As for Madison, her gang rape was the first start of it, but for most of the season, she was as insufferably evil as Chanel is until her monologue in episode 7.
I'm just hoping she'll have more development in the future. I'm sure she will. Ryan's not gonna make absolutely everyone just one-note, and though her other scenes didn't make her sympathetic, I don't think it's fair to say she's entirely one-note.
Also, mess @ me usually being the one to write essays but me faltering to match your length right now.
