True. The guy I'm talking to doesn't really like her (not does he dislike her) and I've warned him that if we end up dating he better be prepared for me to make him listen to her whole discography eventually.
He's not necessarily a fan, but he doesn't mind Bey's music and likes a lot of the songs even though he wouldn't go out of his way to buy it. But yeah, I couldn't deal with some sour puss grumbling about the music I like to play. We mostly like the same things (he's a hip hop head/old school R&B/soul lover) and he's not an ass if I'm playing something he doesn't care much for or vice versa so it's not much of an issue.
That's perfect though, you wouldn't want someone to compete with your level of Beyoncé stanning like "oh yes I already knew that...." style hah.
Speaking of underrated DiL tracks, I wish she would do a live arrangement of Rocket and blend Be With You and use something like what Bootsy did with his live version guitar solo of I'd Rather Be With You at some point in there. I think it would be amazing.
Or if she could have Bootsy actually guest and play a guitar solo and sing the original I think I'd die a bit.
