Random fact for noobs: Posts in MCs didn't use to increase your post count up until late 2010, when - if I remember correctly - MCs were merged with the rest of games on the display of lists of games we see now.
The Games section is kinda messy. I feel like MCs pollute visually the section and are so repetitive. They should be moved to a subforum IMO.
ATRL has existed for like 15 years so I think we could be able to redo album survivors after a few years, so the section would have more members on it. Also lists from publications such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, P4K, etc.
I remember this section used to be my favorite a few years ago.

Wow, can't believe this is coming from an '06 member. Most the people who defend MCs and despise the tournaments are old gamers set in their ways. I agree. We really need to switch it up.
Actually its not all the hosts fault.
Some members literally will stop voting half way through a survivor. Even with reminders, bumps and wall posts they dont seem to post.
If there were a way to implement a filter so users could select what type of Game thread they like to see - Tournament, Album Survivor, MC, Personal Survivor - it would make things much easier to find.

I also really hope that the Games section can be redesigned so that it is easier to find certain games (maybe in the update), and so that there is less word clutter. Coming into this section for the first time is terrifying and confusing.
I agree with this so much. I don't know if there's anything to do about it, but when I first went here I felt the same and that's what puts off so many members, I think. Maybe some sort of clearer information (either in another sticky thread or this one) about what Tournaments, MCs, Album Survivors, etc. are and how they are working would help.
EDIT: I offer myself to write it, if you want to.
The filter is already in place, it's just set to show everything at the moment when you first enter the section.
The thing is, if you set it to just one thing, it would literally be 5 threads, then closed/old ones. And if you take something off the main filter, that section would essentially die out, as nobody would bother to check for it (except a few Games regulars).
Would it be possible to create subsections in the Games section? So that when you first enter the Games page, you would see like a box with ten most recently edited tournaments, then a box with ten survivors, then a box with ten MCs, for example?

You mean like the little boxes that show the top threads for each section? That would basically be pointless since the boxes would be at the top then all the threads would be underneath it anyway.
The filter basically does that job, you just click on each subsection.

No, not like that. Basically you would go on the games section page and the page would have subsections with the different kinds of games in separate boxes, to reduce clutter. Kind of like this layout: http://www.spillitnow.com/
This way, all of the types of games would be on the front page of the section automatically, but they might be easier to find.

They'd essentially have to re-design the whole thing, I don't think that will happen.

MCs weren't a thing until 2009/2010 if I recall correctly. The Games section was so full of life before that.
