I actually replaced a teacher my first year who left in the middle of the year because the middle schoolers broke him. It got to the point where he threw clip boards and erasers at students.

I too would like eventually to get a Masters/PhD and be a uni professor (either for my major - Business or for something like Sociology - my minor). I've been thinking lately of being a University Advisor though, like an actual official one who can offer advice and educational planning.

A mess @ one of my coworkers telling me to apply for full-time at the deli/supermarket. (it's a promotion) Literally people make careers here and the company is v reliable with insurance, good pay for full timers, etc. However, I'm still in school and I won't have time, but I need more money

Yeah, I would definitely prefer to work at a university considering my choice of subject. At the very least, college.

See, I'm probably that kid who'd be all technical and stuff about how I can't be kicked out for not giving a ****. I don't know how it works in your place, but here, it's definitely not a requirement to pay attention.

I skipped all by 7 days of my Econ class last semester, and when I was there I was on ATRL the whole time.

To be fair, though, I would never disrespect a good instructor by fooling around in class. Mine was just awful.

I would teach at college/university level anyway purely because no1curr about the subject at school.

Yeah. From what I have heard High School seniors are WAY better students than college freshmen, since all the best students take AP classes and skip the intro classes.

Intro classes are full of all the people who probably won't graduate

I actually had a tiny asian teacher that would line us up on the classroom wall and she would just whip chairs all over the place. I could never understand what was happening, I was like, 8? She was just savage as hell. We would just watch her go king kong in the middle of the classroom.

I swear this is a real story, I'll die tomorrow if I lied.

Good University jobs are hard to come by and generally require experience in the field or you publishing articles/books on the subject to get tenure.

A sociology PhD would be awesome (mainly because it can be very interdisciplinary), and it may have better prospects for finding a tenured track job than history.

I will probably have to wait a decade or more for some old dinosaur to croak/retire so that I can become an actual associate professor
