Agree with this. I still remember how "nonchalant" was one of my vocab words in high school and then I just listened to Breakdown where she uses that word and I was so excited Something similar happened with "fathom" in We Belong Together. I love how she incorporates these words into her writing.
This article makes me question WHYYYYY Mariah isn't recognized as a prolific songwriter. Meanwhile, other singers are given one award after another for repeating the same line over and over and over again. This baffles me!

Mariah has never received her deserved acclaim for her music, just because she's too "pop" and "mainstream" for critics. Any unbiased music professional would put an album like Butterfly or Daydream on his/her 500 greatest albums of all time list.
I am so happy Mariah's entire career seems to be on the uprise again. Tbh, we're getting TEOM level bookage right now. The only thing is to make sure everything is coordinated and that the rollouts are flawless. Obviously there will be haters and we have to love them too, but I really think she is so career focused and in a happy place right now that she really wants to give back to her fans.
I only selfishly wish we had some new music to go along with everything.
