Can't really speak for them, but my interpretation is one where anyone can come on the site and not be overwhelmed by anything whether it be thirst, over the top nicknames, personal attacks or illegal fire sharing. It has to be accessible to all, members and guests.

The only reason it gets personal is cause we haven't had new members in so long. I'm still new here by people-being-able-to-sign-up standards.
Anyway, I'll stop harassing ya'll but let's just keep the site cute. (aka. not boring)

I think the ultimate vision is to be the prime destination on the web for all pop culture discussion (music, celebs, film, TV, internet). At least that's how I envision it. Obviously we've been at a standstill for a very long time, but I still believe that the upgrade will happen, at which point we can work on diversifying our user base and expanding the forum's scope.
That obviously won't work if there's vulgarity all over the place.

Registration will be open on a much more regular basis once we're upgraded and running at our full capacity. (and we can't wait! I miss IP checks for dupes haha) If the site could handle open registrations we would have done it. Opening them up brings the site to a crawl and then no one gets to be on haha

That upgrade better hurry soon, ever since a member-who-will-not-be-named basically duplicated ATRL, this forum has been leaking active members (including like 90% of the black ones, The Black Thread is like dead now). Excited to see how things go when it does happen.

All I can say is that we're not particularly worried.

Members come and go, sites come and go, its the way of the internet. This site is no stranger to shifts in audiences, members and activity. I've seen a lot in my 10 years on here.

I've lost all hope to be quite honest. We keep getting ''soon, soon, soon'' but almost 2 years have passed and there's still nothing.

Well what do you expect? ATRL's main demographic is messy, young, horny gays. Unless ATRL shifts back into a straight-er population like in the early 2000s, it's gonna stay that way.

I hope there will be a Brooklyn-sized artRAVE VIP party when the new ATRL is announced.
