most of the Pokemon are not that big to not be able to follow you outside. they need to make it happen

Anyway Hoenn's seems way more complex and challemging (judging by how much there is to it compared to Super Contests)
and jamming defintely adds to the challenge.
As far as i undestand it Super Contests are just "use any move you like, except the ones opposite to the category and hope no one else picked the same judge"

What's keeping you from using certain moves? If you're in a beauty contest you use beauty and cute moves and not smart or tough moves. It's that simple. But I'm not gonna argue with you since you have a history of staying behind deep rose colored Stan goggles

Except that jamming made things actually harder since it could mess up your whole combos and you have to worry about opponents which you don't have to in SC.
If i shouldn't use tough moves in a beauty contest then that basically keeps me from using it, doesn't it?

And yes i played Super Contests they just weren't that memorable to me

this isn't exactly accurate tbh. Gyarados is about double that size. If I remember Gyarados is 21 feet and Onix is 28. or something like that.

EDIT: yeah definitely inaccurate. Lugia is bigger than Gyarados here but Gyarados is more than 4 feet taller.

Maybe Gyarados height is given from tail to head and the artwork isn't fully striaghtened out?

That's just one example though. Onix and Lugia are the same height here but Onix is 1.5x Lugia's height and then some.

and they have jolteon taller than flareon but its the other way around.

I mean, if Onix's art was fully straightened out then it would be 1.5x Lugia, they're accounting for the curls in serpent pokémon which is clever actually since the in-game pokédex doesn't do that..

No they don't. Flareon is crouching down. Making Flareon the size without accounting for it's pose would make it inaccurate.

Same with Gyarados/Onix. Is that height with this pose or if it was standing up on it's tail?

It is inaccurate though. You have pokemon with the same height (Umbreon and Leafeon) both doing the same style of pose and yet one is taller than the other. You have others both standing as usual (Noctowl / Typhlosion) which is how height measurement should be done, and they're the same size although one is taller than the other.

like, literally how the hell can Furret be 5'11" /1.8 m?
I don't say the infographic is 100% accurate, because there's NO WAY we can have the accurate size just based on pics and height, but it doesn't fall far from the truth. give you a little perception of how big the pokemon really is

I mean we're getting incredibly nit-picky here, it's a huge list so some mistakes are going to happen.

And obviously they can't measure the curves but at least they make an attempt to account for them, which is literally more than the games themselves do...
