I don't get why studios spend all this money on trailers just to show to a group of super-fans at comic con and force the actual audience to have their first impression of a movie ruined through watching it on a crap quality postage stamp sized video. Clearly failing to adapt to the modern digital world.

Regardless, looks amazing. Hope they do Cyclops right, Storm may have been screwed over in the movies but he has been completely ****ed due to Wolverine.


Watched the Rogue cut of DOFP last night, it was awesome but I get why the scenes were cut - every bonus clip was just extra fluff that wasn't really needed in a streamline movie. I did like the confirmation the young girl wasn't Scarlet Witch though (might've been in the actual movie but I've forgot? I know it was confirmed in an interview), hopefully she becomes Polaris and both Maximoff sisters get a role in future movies. Polaris v Magneto could be an amazing fight.

Though I guess Disney-Marvel have claimed Scarlet Witch for themselves..

Not really, they can still feature the Scarlet Witch as she's a mutant. They just chose to feature Quicksilver because he's .. well the only reason I can think of is because he's male and the X movies have a horrible track record when it comes to anything that's not white, male, bromancey or wolverine.

The slab was referencing the holocaust I think. Yeah all the acting from Ian was flawless.

Overall i'm slain and it adds just enough future content to make the film feel more balanced than it did before. The rescue scene was epic!!! Loved the X-Jet scene as well.

Shame that there was no extra Storm action scenes, but her extra dialogue was very nice.

Was indifferent on jlaw coming back to the mansion to mess up Cerebro it works in either cut of the film and Beast + Mystique romance storyline doesn't interest me much

The F-bomb from the president was funny

I think they should have kept Blink teleporting old magneto back into the room rather than have kitty grab and pull him through, it kinda looked awkward to me and you couldn't really tell what was happening as it was a lot of grey on grey with dark lighting.

Rogue was amazing, although she doesn't actually fight, which we were lead to believe from the teaser posters and how many human kills etc. I expected a little more dialogue from her but they seemed to show all her scenes in the trailer

I was excited as if I was watching the original film for the first time though so they definitely achieved their goal with this release. I'm a 100 times more excited for Apocalypse now

to be fair all the future characters were under used.

X men would slay so hard as a game of thrones/walking dead TV show where the characters can grow and its not just pro X/magneto/wolverine show all the time
