As if the GP care/know enough to know who is "the #1 female"...
Britney had such an insane stretch of media dominance (far longer/greater than the Beyst) that it could easily be her too, she's also sold WAY more albums and had more hits around the world.
Probably barely hit that mark since it did like 1.3m in 10 days WW, gurl.

Beyonce's surprise album sells a record 1 million in 6 days
R&B star Beyonce's latest self-titled album surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide in six days on Wednesday and set a record for iTunes, Apple and Columbia Records said.
She "legit stop[s] the world everytime" she releases?
The point is nobody cares about what's being said. When she dies nobody will be remembering how her song went #1 on Hot 100. People will be remembering her performing at the Superbowl, having some of the biggest tours of all-time, and stopping the world when she released.
But keep going on about 'how she tricked the world into believing she had these chart hits' that nobody but gay guys even know about to begin with.
If she dies I'd imagine people would remember Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, her being a 'fierce female who doesn't settle for anything but the best' (while being married to Jay-Z, oh the irony!), etc.

It's too bad that in 2015 nobody would remember her to answer her when asked.
Of course the GP doesn't consciously think about the the "#1 female" is. But they subconsciously view her that way. They treat her that way. Nobody cares about who sold more albums two decades ago or who's had more 'global hits'. Some of you are so out of touch

+ let her bomb as hard as Britney Jean. The media outlets will be ALL over it, because she is the top bitch therefore it'd be shocking. Nobody outside of ATRL cared when Britney bombed because nobody cares about her period anymore.

I think you're grossly overestimating people's awareness and/or caring for tours and releases - but I mostly agree with you.
I'm not talking about charts. Maybe that was someone else's point, but I was saying her brand overshadows her music...which you seem to be cosigning in a roundabout way.
I don't dislike her btw, so don't read this as that.

Ofcourse people don't know tour grosses. But a LOT of the public knew On the Run for example was a huge tour even if they didn't know the stats. It was Beyonce & Jay-Z. It was selling out in minutes, the demand for it was through the roof. Her tours are also getting HBO specials, like you can tell even without knowing numbers a Beyonce tour is a big thing.
And no, all my examples are proving her music is bigger than a chart can measure. Superbowls, World Tours, and World News when she drops an album. It's not like I said she gets 1 million likes on Instagram.

OTR at Soldier Field was ****ing ridiculous, oh my god.
I'm still in love with that crowd, the way Bey sang Forever Young and the stadium went black for a moment before 50,000 phone lights lit up the place like the night sky...
