Some combination of X/Y chromosomes determines your biological sex. There's no contesting that.
Race, on the other hand, is a social construct based on perceived groupings of physical characteristics. There is no "black" gene, no particular grouping of chromosomes that makes someone Asian. You can't be born into a body of the "wrong" race, because there is no such thing biologically.
It's really not difficult to understand.

Where is the proof that someone is born into the wrong sex other than a feeling?

But gender in and of itself is a social construct that originates from biological sex and perceived groupings of physical characteristics (body type, reproductive systems, etc.).
Like how gender derives from sex, race derives from ethnicity. What is the inherent difference between people being born into a different sex than the gender they feel they are as opposed to being born into a different ethnicity they feel they are?

I never said there was any, and that's not what this thread is about. You can discuss that elsewhere. I just said what it essentially means to be transgender.
My point is that you can argue someone was born into the wrong sex because sex is an actual biological trait. Humans are born with male or female bodies (for the most part).
But you can't, for example, actually be born into an "Asian" body... just one that society has labelled as Asian. That's why the comparison doesn't hold any water.

Stop with these stupid ass Tumblr coined terms and trying to validTe them. See this is why I dislike SJw and their plight on making a damn term for every slight quirk some stupid person thought of sitting at home blogging. I stg its make a mockery of my communities transgender struggle, it's made people question my own oppression I've gone through into a "well if they can change their gender why can't I change my race" **** outta here with that ********. I stg. Ive had it up to here with these stupid terms and people trying to make social injustices out of.

The physical features of any particular race are also genetic, particularly skin tone which is the main thing. What is so different from feeling like your skin tone is wrong, vs. having the wrong genitalia? They are both physical characteristics linked to your biological make-up.

Who are you to police other peoples struggles and identity issues?! This woman has lived her life as a black woman longer than most of these twinks have lived PERIOD. This clearly isn't a joke for her so you shouldn't trivialize her experience just because you don't agree with it.

Yes, I'm a "social justice warrior". Now, would you mind discussing specifically why you disagree with my posts instead of using ad hominem? I'm not a troll. I want legitimate discussion, because I've never thought of this situation before and I think it merits thought.

Transracial isn't a "Tumblr SJW"-coined term, it's a joke borne out of a weak strawman attempt to parody "Tumblr SJW"s. Anyone on Tumblr using the term in this context is doing so either because they're trolling or because they're stupid.

My understanding of ethnicity has always been that it's cultural identity + ancestry. That's not correlated with race like gender is with sex.
If you're talking in terms of ethnic groups, someone could identify as both Italian and Chinese (say they have an Italian father and a Chinese mother). Will society identify them as white, Asian, or mixed-race? That depends on how people end up perceiving their physical traits. They could easily "pass" for white, or they could just as easily be pigeonholed as Asian. That's because there is no strict biological basis for race.
Now if you're talking gender and sex, the majority of humans will physically present either male or female (sex). It's cut and dry. Whether they feel male or female is another story (gender).

Race is not genetic. Trust me I took many courses on it (as my major is Molecular Biology)

Is there a place for us girls that want to change our Zodiac signs? I feel like I was born an Aquarius.

You do know that seeing different races as particular biological distinctions is like, super archaic/debunked science, right?
Let me put it this way:
Someone has a penis and testicles. You can be almost entirely positive their biological sex is male (XY chromosome makeup).
vs.
Someone has dark brown skin. Are they black? Are they Asian? You don't know, because dark brown skin is not tied to any one race. Because there are no genes that definitively code for black or Asian. All we have is a grouping of physical traits that society has decided denotes "black."

Regardless if it's real or not some of the people drawing weird comparisons remind me of the anti-gay marriage people talking about what's next animals and humans marrying?

The base concept is the same, though. The person in question doesn't identify with the characteristics or concepts placed on them by society.
And I get what you mean about race being based on society's perceptions, but gender is also a result of society's perceptions. As society has assigned different characteristics to be different races, it's also assigned different characteristics to be different genders. Why does what a person physically presents as matter in regards to what he or she feels?

Some heads in this thread need to revisit some basic concepts. You cannot continue conflating race with ethnicity and gender with sex.
This whole "transracialism" (and there must be people out there claiming to be transethnic as well) is a bunch of bunk. It ignores a lot of ideas observed by sociology and anthropology in a rather convenient way. And the fact that its is being compared with transgender issues is rather appalling.

But the characteristics that define race are genetic, regardless of what society categorizes them to be.

Race is not exchangeable with gender. You CANNOT be transracial.
