Bruce Jenner over Isis King, Alysia Yeoh, Balian Buschbaum, Alexis Arquette, Laverne Cox, Amanda Lepore, Lea T, etc?
He's famous for nothing. Admire these people who are actually living normal lives like the rest of us instead.

Looks like the ignorant idiots have made their way into this thread.
You need to realise that this piece of media is hugely important for the trans community worldwide and for educating and informing those outside of that community.

If you watch the program, it wasn't "The Fabulous Life of Brucella Jenner", it was an honest discussion of how hard it is to come out as a trans person, especially moreso being Bruce Jenner
Some of you guys acting like it was a Paris Hilton interview about being hot

This interview was so unnecessary.

Employment discrimination means nothing because at that earning level you're in control of whatever you're doing. So no, even if it remained illegal, if it didn't actually help your life compared to what might hurt your bottom line if you voted for the other side (say, if that $500k you earn would turn into $300k thanks to a new tax distribution), most people would still vote for the party that was trying to keep it illegal. People are selfish.
Going back to my own story, I would honestly rather have my family making half a million a year but without the right to marry than having the right to marry but making half of that. The education, employment and lifestyle (health, where I live, travel, etc) opportunities available with a much higher income would make my life a lot better than the chance of being able to get married. Like, let's be realistic. The gay community is so sexualized and relationships can be so hard to maintain becuase of the pervading culture of "get as much sex as you can and never settle down" that most gay people aren't even going to end up reaping the benefits of gay marriage.

He is one of the most celebrated Olympic athletes in US history, and was at one time the best athlete in the world.
Take a SEAT.

This. For some reason that was the most powerful part of the interview to me (and her kids being so accepting). The whole thing was very powerful, but that made my eyes water a bit. She was so proud of showing off her dress that she hugged Diane

I didn't have the chance to watch it so I'll have to wait until its up on YouTube.
So great of her to confront her family knowing they're constantly in the public eye, coming out to the public about it all and even doing a 2 hour interview on national television. I hope this has touched hearts all over the US and other places of the world where people may have seen it and can realise the frustration the transgendered community feel.
Good work Bruce

If anything, this is society's fault, they've never gave gay people the right to marry so this idea of "settilng down" you're talking about is not even an option for them (legally talking).

For those criticizing the user that said he's famous for nothing, to be fair, he won his gold medal in 1976. A lot of people, mainly younger ones, only know him from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Then a lot of young people need to educate they damn selves before trying to speak things they know nothing about.
Any draggings should be taken with appreciation so you won't look a damn fool next time you tryinna speak without base.

I just want to see her in her final form tbh, but I know they're going to milk it for an 8-part interview and a 5-season show. I just want to see her with her boobs out like "yas henny luuk at deez double Ds"

Then that's their fault for being ignorant enough to say he's "famous for nothing." Being an Olympic gold medalist is an achievement and distinction you keep for a lifetime--just because he won it in 1976 doesn't mean he's not famous anymore (he clearly is) or shouldn't be recognized for his achievement.
